Image of the American Patriot

As we enter the 2008 election period in the USA, we have a US Congress whose approval rating is below 11%, just one year after the “New Politics” election sweep in 2006. With a group of terribly unqualified Presidential candidates running for the nation’s top office, the economist and statesman Lyndon H. LaRouche proposed mass educational project to present a true image of what a real American patriot is, around which to mobilize the country and shape the Presidency itself. These studies have been published in EIR Magazine and EIR Online, on the LaRouche PAC website, and we are happy to post them now on the Schiller Institute website as well. We begin the series with James Fenimore Cooper, who was a leader of the second generation of American Revolutionaries, and whose novels today are much better known all around the world than his diplomatic work. Cooper worked on behalf of the American System, organizing opposition to the British System of Empire. Many other articles about the American Intellectual Tradition are linked below.
